About Dr. Cupelli
Dr. Cupelli graduated from Upper St. Clair High School and completed his undergraduate
work at Villanova University. He then attended the University of Pittsburgh School
of Dental Medicine and earned his degree as a Doctor of Dental Medicine. After graduating
from the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Cupelli completed a General Practice Residency
at West Penn Hospital.
Dr. Cupelli has been performing restorative and cosmetic procedures in his private
practice since 1982. He ran an in-house lab for many years and worked
with a vast array of the dental porcelains being used today. This work has given
him a unique level of experience with various dental materials.
Dr. Cupelli, and his father before him, have been serving Shadyside and the surrounding
communities for the past 40 years. His office is located in the Centre Commons Building
where South Negley crosses Centre Avenue.
In 1997 Dr. Cupelli opened a second office with his wife
Dr. Kristy Cupelli, a Pediatric Dentist. The office
is located at 101 Drake
Road and serves Upper St. Clair, Peters Township, Bethel Park and the surrounding
communities.
Dr. Cupelli attends an average of 50 hours of continuing education per year. He
is a member of the Pittsburgh Academy of Dentistry Study Club and the Pittsburgh
Dental Network Study Club which is associated with the Seattle Study Club. Over
the years, he has studied under a number of nationally recognized dental educators
across the country.
Dr. Cupelli is also a member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental
Association, Western Pennsylvania Dental Association and the Academy of General
Dentistry.
